Text Box: The inaugural use of the PhoneTree was February 14, 2006. Notification was made regarding the Masonic funeral service for Brother, Companion and Sir Knight Homer Beath. The PhoneTree program automatically calls everyone on a specific database for stated and special meetings, special events and Masonic funerals services. When you answer your telephone, on receipt of one of these calls, the greeting and message is from W.B. and Sir Knight Michael Ash informing the member of Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A. M., Chillicothe Chapter #4, Chillicothe Council #4, or Chillicothe Commandery #8 of a specific function. If such a message is received on your answering machine or voice mail device and the member does not get the information, then the purpose for which the call was made is rendered useless. Please pass this information to your family so you can be apprised of the happenings at the Chillicothe Masonic Temple. If you do not want to receive these calls your name will be removed and placed on a do not call list in the office.

Text Box: Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A. M. will host its annual dinner to raise funds for Special Olympics. This is a change from the past events when spaghetti was the entrée. Another change is the LOCATION. The Ross County Shrine Club on Belleview Avenue will be the site for the event. This location offers plenty of seating, drive up service, lots of parking and is more accessible to those who require assistance in attending. Two tickets were mail to 530 brethren of Scioto Lodge in an effort to allow those who, while unable to attend, may wish to participate by contributing to the effort to fund this most worthwhile cause. The dinner is to be held from 11:00 am—7:00 pm Thursday, April 6, 2006 and the cost is $6.00. In town deliveries will be available by calling 649-1815 or 701-6678.
While it use to cost about $30.00 to send athletes to the summer games, it now cost closer to $100.00. Grand Lodge of Ohio hopes to eventually fund the entire cost of the summer event at the Ohio State University.
