Text Box: Worshipful Brother Michael B. Haller had the honor of presenting a 50 year pin and Certificate of Commendation to Brother Richard W. Sparks on Tuesday, February 28, 2006.  Brother Sparks was out of town for the scheduled presentations at our annual inspection January 6, 2006. The presentations was witnessed by several visiting brethren over coffee while sharing many memories.  Brother Sparks was Worshipful Brother Haller’s high school baseball coach. W.B. Haller indicated it was a double honor for the Worshipful Master to present this award to the man who was very instrumental in his development as an athlete and a gentleman. To Brother Sparks, Worshipful Brother Haller says, “Congratulations on 50 years in our wonderful fraternity Sparky!” Editor’s note: I wonder if Worshipful Brother Haller call Brother Sparks “Sparky” while in high school. Congratulations from the officers and brethren of Scioto Lodge 6. F. & A. M.

Forty-six year old R. Gratton Nolan, a minister of Chillicothe.  He was recommended by Brother W.S. Story and Brother Rinehard Wissler. 
Thirty-two year old B.C. Hough, a farmer, was recommended by Brother Charles Wissler and Brother Herman Wilson.
Fifty-seven year old George Ratcliff a merchant was recommended by Brother Albert E. Culter and John W. Best
In other business the following order were drawn on the treasury:
Warner Hotel Co. for banquet $77.25; R. Wissler for cigars $5.50; McKell & Co for rental of dishes $3.50; Horney and Chapman .75 cents; J.H. Brownwell for burial rituals $2.00; Scholl Printing Co. for printing services $6.00; Duncan Stearus Laundry $3.83; Seife Brothers for caps $1.25.

Text Box: As of March 31, 2006 only three Blue Lodges in the Historic Seventh Masonic District remain to host their annual inspections.  April 1, 2006 Sinking Spring #365 will be inspected in the Master Mason Degree.  Dinner will be at 6:15 pm, lodge will open at 7:00 pm Brother Steve Hunt is the Worshipful Master. Worshipful Brother Todd Flower of Greenfield Lodge #318 will welcome Masonic travelers on Friday evening April 7, 2006 with dinner at 6:15.  Lodge will open at 7:00 pm. Their inspection is in the Fellow Craft  Degree. The last inspection of the 2006 season will be Rome Lodge #535.  Worshipful Brother William Malone and his officers will be showing off the renovations they have made to that Masonic Lodge since their last inspection. With dinner at 6:15 pm and lodge opening at 7:00, Tim Martin, District Deputy Grand Master will inspect them as they confer the Fellow Craft  Degree.
Text Box: Degree work planned for April.  Tentatively the Entered Apprentice Degree will be conferred upon two candidates at the stated meeting Tuesday, April 4, 2006.  Worshipful Brother Michael B. Haller has indicated the need to confer two Master Mason Degrees in an effort to keep the momentum of addressing a timely interactive relationship with our candidates. The conferral of the Master Mason Degrees will be Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 8:30 am.  Breakfast will be served at 8:00 am. Calls will be made to remind everyone of these dates.
