Text Box: Reaching Out Text Box: Chillicothe Council #4—Petitions for Dispensation Text Box: Volume 6, Issue 6 Text Box: Chillicothe Council #4 R. & S.M. at its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, May 15, 2007 opted to request a dispensation to hold its election of officers June 19, 2007. This was due to a lack of qualified candidates for the office of Illustrious Master and Principle Conductor of the Work. A partial slate of officers was presented by Illustrious Master Robert S. Jones. The major hindrance for filling the presiding officer’s chair is the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masons Code, stipulating that no Companion may occupy the office of Illustrious Master unless he first be elected and installed into the office of Deputy Master or Principle Conductor of the Work . The slate of proposed candidates for offices is as follows Illustrious Master OPEN Deputy Master Companion Ralph W. Cyrus Principle Conductor of the Work OPEN Treasurer I.C. John R. Ashton Recorder Companion William Bennett Sentinel Howard Fish Captain of the Guard I.C. Robert K. Brown Conductor of Council Companion David Huff Steward I.C. Kenny L. Graves Illustrious Companion Ralph Mahaffey has indicated he will serve as Principle Conductor of the Work on a need to basis. Illustrious Companion Robert K. Brown also is serving as Captain of the Guard with the same urgency. Both are hopeful that younger members of the fraternity will seek an office if at all possible. Any Companion who has time to devote to service in any of the offices of Chillicothe Council #4 R. & S.M. please contact Illustrious Master Robert S. Jones or call the Office of the Recorder at 774-3485. The same holds true of Chillicothe Chapter #4 R.A.M. and Chillicothe Commandery #8 K.T.
