Petition for Degrees

Text Box: Following are items excerpted from Bulletin #3 which is published by Grand Chapter R.A. M. of Ohio authored by Jean W. Justus, Jr. Grand High Priest.
The Capitular year is in full swing with many chapters and districts having completed their inspection schedules. The degree work I have observed at inspection were of the highest quality and those chapter officers are to be commended for their efforts. As your Grand High Priest, one observation I’ve made in my travels is that many chapters are struggling because of hard economic times, participation of the membership and leadership skills of junior officer. High Priests, now is the time to provide those leadership skills, obtain your chapter’s goals and complete your plans by leading your companions in the direction that future leaders may follow. The Grand Chapter Officers and the District Deputies Grand High Priest within your districts are here to assist you. On April 9, 2005 the Grand Master’s One Day Class will again be held across the State of Ohio. Out of respect and support of our Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother Jim S. Deyo, I have issued the following edict, “To respect the Grand Master Class, no chapter activity or degree (except stated meeting) may be held on April 9, 2005”. Companions, we need your total support of this effort for Free Masonry in Ohio. The Grand Family will be traveling to Marion Chapter #62 April 30, 2005 for their Rededication Ceremony.
On a personal note, Sharon and I want to thank you for your cards, thoughts and prayers during her recent illness. She is slowly on the road to recovery and will be traveling with me again. God Bless the Companions of the Grand Chapter of Ohio. We feel we are blessed by each one of you. Jean W. Justus, Jr.
