Text Box: Petition for York Rite Degrees Text Box: Grand Master’s Class 2007 Text Box: Volume 6, Issue 3 Text Box: The 2007 Grand Master’s Class will be held at Southern State Community College, Central Campus Edward K. Daniel Hall—100 Hobart Drive in Hillsboro, Ohio. Registration will begin held from 6:30 am to 8:00 am. A Grand Master's Class is an opportunity for an individual who would like to become a Freemason to experience all three of the initiation ceremonies (Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft, and Master Mason Degrees) on one day rather than over a series of months. The ceremonies are conferred in their entirety, and the candidates leave with the privilege of attending their Lodges as full members. Opening ceremonies will begin immediately at 8:00 am. Officers who are conferring the Entered Apprentice Degree are to be in their respective stations at this time. Candidates and guides will be expected to be in their seats as well. Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A. M. will pay for candidates lunch, all others will be required to pay for their own lunch at a cost of $10.00. All attending Master Masons should have their current dues card on their person and present it when requested. You must also bring your own apron if you have one, however paper aprons will be supplied to Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A. M. members in attendance. Candidates for degrees must present a photo ID at the time of registration. M. of Ohio has informed all Secretaries and Recorders of the York Rite Bodies that the three part petitions are to be used for candidates wishing to continue their journey in York Rite on the day of the Grand Master’s Class. Each candidate is encouraged to petition the York Rite. Petition fees are $100.00 for Chapter, Council and Commandery, ($30 each for Chapter and Council, $40 for Commandery). All candidates for the one day class is to be given the opportunity to complete a York Rite petition.
