Text Box: This year marks the 50th year of service in helping those who have nowhere to turn for assistance in saving their sight.  The Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Inc., through the service it has given is truly a sight saver.  During this time frame over seventy-nine thousand cases have been handled, payment on cases now total ninety-seven million dollars, research grants have exceeded eight million dollars.  The 38th annual voluntary campaign is near completion and all donors are requested to give as much as their finances will permit. The mission of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation is to provide assistance to those who face loss of sight due to the need for surgical treatment without regard to race, color, creed, age, sex or national origin provided they are unable to pay or receive adequate assistance from current government agencies or similar sources and to provide funds for research in curing diseases of the eye. Applicants must be US Citizens.
Text Box: Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A. M. will host the May 13, 2006 meeting of the Seventh Masonic District Association.  The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm with refreshments being served prior to the meeting.  The meeting will open at 7:00 pm.  Right Worshipful Brother Tim Martin has indicated the written ritual from the Grand Lodge of Ohio would be on hand to clarify any of the ritualistic work that may be causing the brethren any issues.  All brethren from the district are invited to attend. District President Keith O’Dell will chair the meeting. This is the first meeting of the Seventh Masonic District Association since the conclusion of the 2006 Annual Inspection season. It is also the last meeting prior to the annual Veterans’ Hospital summer outing.

Text Box: Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A. M. held two stated meeting and two special meetings during the month of May 1905. Lyle E. Evans, Raised 5/6/1902 was the secretary of Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A. M. and served as Worshipful Master in 1916.
May 2, 1905—Petitions for L.G. Brigham, Harry L. Hyson, and F.S. March were read and assigned to committee. Committee reports were read and ballots taken on Theodore H. Spetnagel, George Ratcliff and Benjamin Hough.  The ballots were clear and they were accepted as candidates for Masonry. It was at this meeting the Worshipful Master was made a committee of one to approach the Trustees on the subject of being permitted to have and carry a key to the lodge rooms. 
May 4, 1905—Theodore H. Spetnagel, Greorge Ratcliff and Benjamin Hough were initiated an Entered Apprentice in due form.
May 18, 1905—Candidates John E. Clark, Theodore H. Spetnagel, and Benjamin Hough were examined as to their proficiency in the Entered Apprentice Degree. Discussion on the jurisdictional lines between Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A. M. and Pickaway Lodge #23 was held. Worshipful Brother W.E. Evans was appointed as delegate by Worshipful Brother Charles E. Mosher, the presiding Worshipful Master, as the committee of one to investigate the issue. The Fellow Craft Degree was conferred upon four candidates: Arthur Dumpf, Theodore H. Spetnagel, John E. Clark, and Fred C. Mader.
May 25, 1905—The last special meeting was called for the purpose of Initiating L.G. Brigham and  F. S. March as Entered Apprentice.
