Text Box: Monday, November 29, 2004 at 6:30 pm Allied Masonic Bodies will meet in the Chillicothe Masonic Temple for its meeting and annual banquet. The Allied Masonic Degrees is a national organization that charters the various Councils. The regional Council is Harry E. Sark #186 and has a jurisdiction of Clinton, Fayette, Pickaway, Ross, Pike, Scioto and Adams counties. Worshipful Brother William Landrum is the secretary/treasurer and Worshipful Brother Everett Sheets is the Sovereign Master. Members of the Allied Body must be members in good standing in a York Rite Chapter. Membership is by invitation and our Council is allowed to have 27 members plus 3 emeritus members. We meet on the 5th Monday of each month that have 5 Mondays. Generally meetings are held in a restaurant in locations ranging from Portsmouth to Wilmington, Ohio. Ladies are invited to attend the dinners. After dinner members adjourn for a business meeting, while the ladies chat or involve themselves in manners of common interests. Once each year the Allied Bodies is required to have a Tiled meeting. This is our annual meeting where we collect dues, elect and install officers, and initiate new members. This meeting is normally held at the Sovereign Masters home Lodge, which in this instance is Scioto Lodge #6 F. & A.M. New District Deputy Grand Master

Text Box: Aurora Lodge #48 is hosting an Installation Dinner in honor of Timothy D. Martin, as the new District Deputy Grand Master of the Seventh Masonic District. Worshipful Brother Martin received his commission at the 195th Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge F. & A. M. of Ohio. Dinner will be at 6:00 pm on the 7th floor of the Portsmouth Masonic Temple. The installation will begin at 7:30 pm. This is an open installation, all Masons and their wives are invited to attend. Reservations are due November 10th and may be made by calling 740-353-2690. Text Box: Scioto Lodge #6 will be hosting its annual Veterans Night Honors Dinner and program on November 11, 2004. This is our opportunity to honor members of the Masonic Fraternity who responded to the call of their country and served in uniform. Text Box: By-Law Change at Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters Annual Assembly Text Box: By-Law Section 37 of the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters was changed at the 175th Annual Assembly in Columbus, Ohio October 3-5, 2004. Excerpts from section 37.03 read: ”Each Constituent Council...shall pay annually to the Grand Council as Grand dues on all members in good standing at the close of the preceding fiscal year...ending May 31st, and on each member granted a demit during the year, the sum of eight dollars per member, effective June 1, 2005…” What this means is that Chillicothe Council #4, R. &. S.M. will have an increase from ($4.00 to $8.00) in the amount of dues payable to the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters.
