Text Box: Chillicothe Council #4 R. & S.M. to hold Special Election
Text Box: Greetings and Salutations

This letter is to introduce you to a change in the responsibilities for the representative to the Veteran Administration Hospital. I have assumed chairmanship of this project and will be working with the lodges of the Seventh Masonic. This project is for our Veterans’ at the VA Hospital in Chillicothe, Ohio.

It comes as no surprise that participation has been somewhat limited over the years and I welcome the opportunity to work with the Seventh Masonic District Association in improving the turnout.

This takes some commitment on the part of the brethren of the lodges. Giving time to those who have contributed to the cause of freedom in any capacity is rewarding in itself. I realize the distance some of the lodges must travel to make this project work successfully, but it is not without its reward. The travel time must be a shared thing and that, too, can be rewarding.

Come and be a part of this program. Bring refreshments that are prepackaged as no homemade items are permitted. Some suggestions are cookies, chips, pretzels, fruit, popcorn or other snacks of your choice.

Bingo events are scheduled the first Sunday in December, January, July and August. The Seventh Masonic District annual picnic is held on Saturday during the Labor Day weekend. Mailings and phone calls go out to those Worshipful Masters and Lodge Secretaries prior to the various events. As always, this is not about us as Masons, although it is a great opportunity to network with representatives from the lodges in the district, it is more about those veterans who are residents at the Veterans’ Hospital in Chillicothe and extending a hand of friendship to them.

Fraternally and Sincerely
David V. Medert

David V. Medert, P.D.D.G.M.
