Text Box: Calling all Brethren of Masonic Lodges in the Historic Seventh Masonic District Greetings in the name of the Seventh Masonic District Association: Right Worshipful Brother David V. Medert, Seventh Masonic District Association, VA Representative, invites you to attend the district wide annual picnic outing Saturday, September 1, 2007 beginning at 11:00 am [workers need to report at 9:30 AM]. The event is for all brethren and their families and will be held on the grounds of the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Chillicothe, Ohio in the shelter at building 35. Our special guests will be those veterans who have served our country in war and in peace. This outing means a great deal to them because it demonstrates there are those who remember their service in the cause of freedom. The Seventh Masonic District Association will furnish the meat for the cookout; Right Worshipful Brother Sam Sutherland will serve as the coordinator in this area; Western Sun Lodge #91 will furnish soft drinks. R.W.B. Robert Brown and his wife Shelba [although, unable to attend, will be taking their granddaughter to her college that weekend] wan will furnish trimmings for hamburger and hot dogs. Scioto Lodge #6 will be furnishing hamburger buns, hot dogs buns and condiments. Anyone wanting to bring items need only keep in mind that the VA has a policy regarding foods permitted at such events. We know that certain foods are difficult to transport and are apt to cause food poisoning. For the safety of our VA guests, please do not bring cream, chiffon or custard pies, cakes or other pastries with cream or custard fillings and salad mixtures that include eggs, mayonnaise or other homemade foods that are unstable in the heat. All items made available to our VA guess should be pre-wrapped or individually wrapped such as chips, pretzels, crackers, and cookies.
